A poet is a dreamer and a lover!He\she writes to spread love and harmony in society.Without appreciation of poetry,society soon becomes a madhouse!
A culture which encourages poets and writers flourishes while a religious/commercial culture soon vanishes.
To write poetry,the poet should have experienced the joys and sorrows of his community.He should be able to identify with the emotions and feelings of the majority.To be relevant,poetry should strike a chord in every person.
Presently there are many good poets in L.America and S.Asia-both are societies where revolutionary changes are taking place!
