The tiger population which had been steadily declining has now shown a significant rise in India.There are several tiger sanctuaries in different parts of India where people can watch tigers in their natural environment.The Wild life department has also expressed willingness to export tiger cubs to othe countries.
The big cats are at the apex of the 'green' pyramid and their survival is crucial for preserving the bio-diversity of the world.

Hopefully there will be increased awareness to save the other endangered species like rhinos,leopards,bison and lions too!
