The tribals comprise almost 10% of India's population and have been the worst casualties since independence.Dependent mainly on the forests for their survival,they have been forced into slavery,prostitution,child labour and extremist activities.
Due to their inability to adapt themselves to the rest of society because of their indigenous beliefs,they find themselves as an endangered species.
The tribal way of life is essentially pagan with its intimacy to nature.The forests,wild animals,rainfall and the earth are the mainsprings of the tribal way of life.A tribal has few needs except a sense of community,freedom and happiness!
