'Dare,dare and dare again' Danton
Danton was the soul of The French Revolution. He represented the finest qualities of the Renaissance-daring,chivalry,intellectual ability and vision.
Danton,a lawyer, had realized that the old order was on its way out and the world was ready for a different way of life.
Danton was well versed in Greek Mythology and the writings of Leonardo Da vinci.Being a lawyer he was logical but also intuitive. As well as being a scholar,he had a firm grasp of the prevailing circumstances. With his sharp insight,he had realized that The Revolution could not suceed without rousing the masses. In his writings he appealed to the French spirit of chivalry, boldness of ideas and conquest.
The French Revolution, though a failure, destroyed the Monarchy and ushered in Democracy. What Danton could not realize was that without inculcating a sense of cohesiveness and caring in people, any attempts to usher in Liberty and equality would be futile.
