India and Vietnam had entered into an agreement some years back regarding joint exploration for oil and gas in South China sea and ONGC had accordingly taken the necessary steps. China immediately warned India not to be a party to such a venture.
China has for long been behaving like a bully and repeatedly threatens all its neighbours including India,Japan,Vietnam and Taiwan whenever any of them decides to undertake any activity in China's neighbourhood.
Recently Chinese army entered Indian territory without provocation and stayed put for several weeks before withdrawing.It will be extremely difficult for India to trust the Chinese government till such time that China agrees to abide by international agreements
and treaties!
