Iraq,Lebanon and Syria,parts of the ancient Mesopotamian civilization-one of the cradles of civilization-today lie in ruins.
The primary reason for continuing unease in the Middle East is rigidity in attitudes on grounds religion-Islam,Judaism and Christianity though with common origins,are jostling for supremacy.
Each of them is rigid and dogmatic and out of sync with the present day reality.
To expect lasting peace in the region without a change in attitudes will be like looking for a needle in the haystack!
