Even though technology has connected the world in more ways than one,people are still chained to their narrow perspectives of race,colour,region,gender,language and culture.
It is now beyond doubt that events anywhere in the cosmos have repercussions everywhere and yet the human species,with all its intellectual accomplishments,is refusing to see beyond the nose.
All the governments,corporations,religious leaders and armed forces are only too happy to perpetuate the myths of nationalism,threat to security and cultural superiority because it justifies their existence and dominance of society.
It is the responsibility of scientists,musicians,artists,actors and writers to promote a cosmopolitan outlook everywhere,even if it means facing persecution and stigma.
It is now obvious that without a 'live and let live'attitude,there can be no progress or good will in the world.
