With gender issues occupying centre stage,it is imperative that women lift themselves from their boot straps.Instead of expecting charity and greater sensitivity from men,they should strive to build a consensus among themselves.
Over the ages,women have allowed themselves to be manipulated and exploited by powerful vested interests.They suffer from an 'inferiority complex' which shapes their outlook and actions.The need for security and family makes them dependent on men.
It is time for women to reinvent their collective psyche and look to one another for support and encouragement.

For too long have the women been passive spectators on the world scene.It is now time to change the balance!
