Lenin

Lenin was a revolutionary par excellance! He was greatly inspired by the writings of Voltaire.Rousseau,Robespierre and Danton. He had a firm grasp of the prevailing global realities. Lenin's basic objective was to give a life of dignity to the poor and the oppressed. He had presumed, perhaps wrongly, that with the passage of time, the state would no longer be necessary and the people would be able to mange their affairs themselves. The basic credo of Leninism is-" From each according to his ability,to each according to his needs!"
If Lenin were to be born in the present times,he would be a firm supporter of democracy, individual liberty, equality, brotherhood and social justice! He would firmly oppose all forms of totalitarianism, fundamentalism, racism, imperialism and isolationism, He would strongly advocate human unity, nuclear disarmament,non-violence and exchange of cultures. In economics,he would recommend a welfare-based model suited to each country. He would strongly advice universal education, rural development, environmental protection, women empowerment and the cooperative movement.
Lenin had high regard for revolutionaries fighting for freedom from colonialism and was in close touch with them!
Leninism is not irrelevant,it only needs to be updated!
