a monetary culture vs a cooperative culture

A monetary culture attaches more importance to accumulating material comforts while a cooperative culture is directed towards well-being of the community.
By its very nature, a monetary culture is divisive and wasteful whereas a cooperative spirit fosters growth and optimum utilisation of resources.
A monetary culture relies on 'Economics of scarcity' and a cooperative culture on 'Economics of plenty'.
Most of the social problems today are due to the monetary culture which has become second nature to every person.Every article including the human has become a commodity in the market place and arbitrary values have been attributed. The entire human effort is now focused on increasing the monetary value of the community regardless of social implications.
Unless there is a consensual shift in the world towards a well-being centred approach, the world will soon become one huge 'stock exchange' and people will be forced to consume paper and plastic instead of food!
