organic farming

With an acute shortage of food grains imminent in the near future,it is extremely important to make a radical break from the past farming practices.
Organic farming  in its essence relies more on natural principles than on market factors, machinery or synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. The farmer has to adapt his methods to local conditions and resources to be able to maximise his output and returns.Biodiversity, water availability, soil fertility, climate and manpower availability are important factors in the choice of crops.By using home grown seeds and natural fertilisers, the farmer can reduce expenses, increase soil fertility and realise a wide variety of crops.Horticulture, floriculture, dairy farming, green house farming, drip irrigation and poultry are some of the other options available to the farmer.
