Pope Francis is trying hard to revolutionise the Vatican and break the stranglehold of the deeply entrenched bureacracy and make Christianity into a mass global movement.His attempt will be met by tremendous oppostion and the hardliners will go to any extent to stop him.This is the time for progressive forces all over the world to support the Pope in his bold endeavour to democratise the Church.
Jesus was a man of the poor and the downtrodden.His message of compassion,charity,equality,individual dignity and truth is more relevent in the present times than ever before!The French and Russian Revolutions were inspired by the teachings of Jesus.
Christianity is not a 'bread and butter'religion with a rigid hierarchy but a way of life.A true Christian is humble,compassionate and a seeker of truth,decency and beauty.He is not interested in salvation but wants to change the social conditions to make the world harmonious.
